SUMMER CAMP 2012 Information

Dear Parents and Campers,

The Community Education Department will once again be offering a Summer Day Camp for children from kindergarten through sixth grade and a Counselor in Training (CIT) and Junior Staff program for seventh through ninth grade. The Day Camp will be divided into two distinct units (or Camps), which will be determined using the age and grade of the campers. The units will all share the same themes and run concurrently, however, each unit will have age appropriate activities deliberately intended to meet the interests and abilities of its participants. Our mission for this summer is to provide a safe, exciting and supportive camp environment; where children are able to take part in a variety of age appropriate activities which encourage exploration, creativity, teamwork, fair play and most of all FUN!

Summer Day Camp 2012 is broken up into eight, one week Sessions. Each of the eight Sessions of camp will have a different theme and the daily activities will revolve around that theme. Parents are welcome to sign their campers up for any number of sessions. Our goal is to create a unified camp environment that your child is eager to return to each morning, and one in which s/he feels comfortable enough to accept new challenges and make new friends.

Very Sincerely Yours,

Brian Bacon
Summer Camp Director
