Friday, July 7- Magic World Fun!

                     Today, we wrapped up Week 5 and as tradition we had a visit from Magic World that brought 2 inflatables- a water slide and an obstacle course that visited us many times last year also. All the campers had fun and everyone had a smile on their faces.

Time Traveler Adventure! 7/10/14

          This week at camp, campers participated in a time travel adventure to help the camp nurse, Brittany, find her escaped pet dinosaur that she got when she traveled back to the Jurassic time period. With the help of the time machine that Brittany created, the campers had to travel from the modern time period all the way back to the Jurassic period through the high school to find Rexy. 

        Campers started their time adventure in modern Westborough, where they then traveled back to the  old West, where they had to shoot down sheriff badges with rubber bands. All the campers found Rexy and all won a prize!

Sky Rise Improv Presentation

              Yesterday, Wednesday, July 9, Sky Rise Acting Company made a presentation for all the campers and about improv with acting or speaking in front of an audience. This also was a chance to make fun of a few of the camp counselors and laugh a little.

       We all had some laughs. And also a few moments of awkwardness.

 But Zach Taylor, Co owner of Skyrise made a great presentations that both staff and campers enjoyed.

Last Day of Camp!

Everyone had fun on this last day of camp! Groups had a great time playing in the gym, in the cafeteria, and playing on the Magic World inflatables.

• Groups 1,2, and 3 played Gaga, basketball, hula hooped, and jump roped in the gym!

Musical Chairs!

• Campers had a blast dancing and singing during musical chairs!

Ultimate Dodge ball tournament!

• Campers and staff got competitive as they tried to beat other teams to win the games!

Magic World!

• Everyone enjoyed bouncing around and playing on these fun inflatables all afternoon!

Everyone also had to say goodbye on their last day. We had a great summer! See you next year!

Today, camp was filled with superheroes and sidekicks! Superhero day has been a camp favorite for years! Groups played a few games before finishing the day off with a fun obstacle course and dodge ball game called the Superhero Challenge.

• Campers enjoyed playing an exciting soccer game in pairs.

• Groups played this hockey-like game and loved the fierce competition.

• Campers played a wet round of dodge ball that cooled them down from the hot summer sun.

• Groups were split into four teams and had to run around a cone while dodging balls being throw at them.

• The camp pulled out their creative side and painted fun designs!

July 31 Overview

Campers enjoyed a variety of fun activities today at camp! A company, Games 2 U, joined us at camp today and brought entertaining games such as Booger Wars and U-Launcher. Groups also had fun playing Asteroids and kickball.



Booger Wars!

• Campers and staff had a great time playing rounds of dodge ball with boogers! A giant nose held fake balls of snot that were pulled out by campers and hurdled towards others!

U-Launcher!

• A life-sized set of Angry Birds was brought to camp today! Kids were able to fling the angry birds at stacks of buckets and pigs. 

Asteroids!

• Groups enjoyed a game of mat ball. There was a fun twist that involved the balls playing the role of asteroids.

Other Fun Activities at Camp!

• In between the special activities, kids played hide-and-seek, a variety of board games, computers, and Wii!

Group three, playing a very ominous game of mafiah. Its where, a mafiah is chosen, while everyones heads are down. And they pick who they would like to kill. Then, the mafiah puts its head down, and a doctor/angel is chosen. They pick who they would like to save. Then, all the townspeople wake up. The runner of the game, says a story, saying who dies. (The runner of the activity makes it up on the spot.) Then, the kids vote on who the mafiah is. If the person who was not the mafiah gets voted out. They are out of the game. The game goes on until the mafiah is found. Each round a new doctor/angel is picked.
